Returns & Refunds Policy

Not quite right? We make returns straightforward. This policy explains how to return a product and what to expect from us.

1. Your Statutory Rights

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel most online purchases within 14 days of receiving your order without giving a reason. We extend this to 30 days as a matter of goodwill.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if a product is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose. These rights are separate from and unaffected by our returns policy.

2. Our 30-Day Returns Window

We accept returns within 30 days of the date you receive your order, provided the item is:

  • Unused and unassembled, in its original condition.
  • In its original, undamaged packaging with all parts, accessories, and documentation included.
  • Free from signs of damage caused after receipt.

Products that have been assembled, run, driven, or show signs of use cannot be returned unless faulty. We reserve the right to refuse a return or apply a partial refund if these conditions are not met.

3. Event Tickets

Tickets for Orbital RC events (such as Big Meets) are non-refundable except in the following circumstances:

  • The event is cancelled by Orbital RC — in which case a full refund will be issued.
  • The event is postponed and the new date does not suit you — we will offer a refund upon request if made within 14 days of the postponement announcement.

Walk-in event fees (Drift Nights, Crawler Mornings) are paid on the door and are non-refundable once you have entered the venue.

4. How to Start a Return

  • Email hello@orbitalrc.co.uk with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason.
  • We will respond within 2 business days with return instructions.
  • Pack the item securely in its original packaging and include your order number inside the parcel.
  • Send to the address provided in our return instructions using a tracked and insured service.

Return postage is your responsibility unless the item is faulty, damaged in transit, or we sent the wrong product. We recommend a tracked service — we cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged on their way back to us.

5. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will email you the outcome. Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 14 days of us receiving the returned item. Allow up to 5 additional business days for the funds to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.

For standard returns, we refund the product price. Original outbound delivery costs are only refunded if the return is due to our error.

6. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. To swap an item, return it for a refund and place a new order for the product you want.

7. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged in transit, or different from what you ordered, contact us at hello@orbitalrc.co.uk within 30 days. Please include your order number and photos of the issue.

We will arrange a free return and offer a full refund, replacement, or repair — your choice. Return postage for faulty or incorrect items is fully covered by us.

8. Non-Returnable Items

The following cannot be returned unless faulty:

  • Items that have been assembled, run, or show signs of use or wear.
  • Items returned more than 30 days after delivery.
  • Items returned without original packaging or missing parts/accessories.
  • Batteries, LiPo packs, or chemical products that have been opened or used.
  • Special order or custom items created specifically for you.

9. International Returns

Customers outside the UK are responsible for all return postage costs, including customs charges. Please mark the parcel as "return of goods" to avoid additional import duties. We cannot refund original customs charges paid on delivery for returned orders.
